In 2009 Scheidt & Bachmann opened their Dublin operation, initially with a team of 15 people. This well-established German company was new to Ireland having won the contract to deploy and maintain the ticket machines at all Luas stops in Dublin. As they had no dedicated IT resource for their local office they looked to Enterprise Solutions to provide them with a total IT solution. Enterprise Solutions were chosen as a complete resource, thus allowing design, procurement and implementation with a combined support and helpdesk to fulfil Scheidt & Bachmann’s requirement
Scheidt & Bachmann required a robust and accessible infrastructure that would allow their group of field engineers to access all IT systems whilst on the road. Implementing a unified communications solution, allowed engineers in the field work as if from a HQ desk. As a new company, Scheidt & Bachmann Dublin also needed a trusted IT advisor to ensure their IT decisions enabled them to meet the strategic direction of their growing company. As a start-up business Scheidt & Bachmann had no previous local relationships. They were without an in house IT department, with a mobile work force that needed to operate with a HQ office frontal at all times and from various locations.
Enterprise Solutions installed a Microsoft & HP server infrastructure. It comprised of a fully redundant server environment running MS SBS 2008. A secure, unified communications and remote access system was implemented for all mobile workers. All users were provided with a suitable end point device to complement their role in a fully secured network infrastructure. This was complemented by an IT Total Care managed services solution from Enterprise Solutions. This comprised of an IT helpdesk, with full maintenance and support. An on-site engineer upon requirement, remote access and a preventive maintenance routine with cloud based security. Scheidt & Bachmann received a complete package from a trusted advisor in Enterprise Solutions
